How do we know we are living in a banana republic?
In April 2024, President Donald Trump entered a courtroom in Manhattan, New York for his alleged role in a hush money scheme. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg argued Trump used campaign funds to silence his alleged mistresses before the 2016 election. No former United States president has ever faced criminal prosecution. But this court is not what it seems.
New York Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan is no stranger to Trump organizations. He presided over the Trump Organization tax fraud trial and sentenced the former president’s close confidant Allen Weisselberg to prison over his role in the scheme. Judge Merchan also oversaw former Trump adviser Steve Bannon’s criminal fraud case. Perhaps it was just a roll of the jurist dice that Merchan oversaw these matters, but Merchan is politically active as well. Merchan donated $35 in political contributions to Democrats in 2020, including a $15 contribution to the presidential campaign of Trump’s opponent, President Joe Biden.[1]
That’s not all. D.A. Alvin Bragg, who offered plea deals to six illegals who attacked NYPD in Times Square, elevated the misdemeanor charges to felonies for Trump alone.
Bragg’s star witness, Michael Cohen, is a perjurer. Cohen’s supervised release bid was denied due to his perjury, in March 2024.[2]
Judge Merchan’s daughter, Loren Merchan, is a highly active Democrat activist working for “progressive” Authentic Campaigns[3]:
The judge’s daughter, Loren Merchan, is president of Authentic Campaigns, a Chicago- based progressive political consulting firm whose top clients include Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), who was the lead prosecutor in Trump’s first impeachment trial, and the Senate Majority PAC, a major party fundraiser.[4]

Democrat donor judge? Check. ✔️
Star witness perjurer? Check. ✔️
Democrat activist judge’s daughter fundraising off the trial? Check. ✔️
Elevated charges from a Democrat D.A. who turned a blind eye to illegal crime? Check. ✔️
